POSITION:  Material Handler

LOCATION: 60 Regal Rd. Guelph, ON N1K 1B5

HOURS: 42.5/week + overtime

WAGE: $20-$24/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shipper/Receiver

• Receiving, inspecting, packing and shipping product using the lift truck and/or pump truck
• Performing effective visual inspection of received components for damage, document accordingly when concerns arise with shipment
• Effectively compare the Bill of Ladings and packing slips to the received items and purchase orders
• Accurately placing and staging materials in designated locations and relocating material throughout shift as required
• Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs
• Completing shipping documents accurately and on time
• Handling light to medium materials
• Pick-up and delivery of material and supplies to and from local companies and suppliers within a 60 km radius with company vehicle

Shop Maintenance

• General shop clean-up such us sweeping
• Cleaning floors
• Minor repairs
• Trash removal
• Chip removal from machines
• Minor maintenance assistance with machines
• Maintaining shop organization of supplies

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified under a recognized “Forklift” certification program
• Must have a valid G license and clean abstract
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude
• CNC Shop or machine experience an asset
• Safety shoes required
• Ability to always work safety within machine environment and equipment dedicated to shipping
• Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to coordinate shipments and shop responsibilities
• Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent customer service and team-work mindset
