Service Technician (Security Installations) Kitchener 2149124

Kitchener, ON

The successful candidate will be responsible for the service of, installation of, and completion of, multiple electronic security projects/systems for various customers. To succeed in this role, you will have a good grasp on applicable technologies but more importantly a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance systems and data communication systems
  • Assists System Engineers, Project, Construction and Operations Managers with installation plans.
  • Coordinates Sub-contractor resources with customers and ongoing project workload
  • Provides the customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiries
  • Provides technical support to the field team, and liaise with product vendor support as needed
  • Complete detailed and accurate documentation
  • Perform other tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years industry experience
  • Technical background in Video security systems, Access control, and Electronic Technology
  • Certification in low voltage is preferred
  • High school diploma, plus vocational training or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Experience with Condoplex is an asset
