Construction Skilled Labourer - (Mechanical/Civil Construction)

Based in New Hamburg, Ontario

 

We are hiring full-time Construction Skilled Labourers for various projects in the Southwestern and central Ontario area.

Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with effective communication skills who wants to learn and grow within our organization. We are currently looking for people with a minimum of 1 year of construction labour experience, to operate machinery, and follow all site health and safety policies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Follow daily work instructions as provided by the Site Foreman / Superintendent.
  • Work with limited supervision as tasks dictate.
  • Preform setup and cleanup tasks on job site.
  • Loading/Unloading of construction materials.
  • Proficiency with the use of small hand tools.
  • Operate and care for construction equipment and machinery.
  • Installation of underground services.
  • Installation of stainless steel, PVC, and HDPE piping.
  • Installation of various types of mechanical equipment.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a construction labourer.
  • Valid Ontario Drivers License.
  • Exposure to work in the year-round construction environment.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

 

Skills considered to be an asset:

  • Civil construction related experience.
  • Interpreting and reading construction drawings.
  • Post-Secondary Education/College Diploma - Civil or Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
  • Knowledge of water treatment and/or wastewater treatment facility construction.
