This position can be based out of anywhere in Canada with the ability to work hybrid.

We are currently seeking for a National Sales Manager (Residential) to join our sales leadership team, to make a significant impact in a dynamic and vital sector.

The National Sales Manager (Residential) oversees residential sales across Canada. This role entails managing and directing a team of Sales Managers (Residential) and Outsides Sales Representatives to achieve sales targets and objectives. Their responsibilities include developing sales strategies, setting sales goals, analyzing market trends, monitoring performance metrics, and providing guidance and support to their sales team. The National Sales Manager is a crucial role in driving revenue growth, expanding market share and maintaining customer satisfaction.  They must know market conditions, pricing, competition, competitor products, customer credit risks, etc. to develop an approach to share this information with their sales team. This position has the flexibility to report to any nearby branch location.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales strategies for increasing sales, develop annual and monthly budgets, conduct annual strategic planning with suppliers
  • Oversee field activity of Sales Managers (Residential) and Outsides Sales Representatives for assigned, prospected, and converted accounts, including customer relations, product application and stability, product sales and delivery, service and product installation instruction and collections
  • Regularly assess and evaluate the company's product offerings based on solid data analysis to ensure they meet market demands and align with sales strategies, making recommendations for adjustments or new product introductions as needed
  • Provide support and guidance to Sales Managers (Residential) regarding customers, accounts, quoting, pricing and customer satisfaction
  • Interview, hire, and train new Sales Managers (Residential) and Outside Sales Representatives, as required
  • Develop sales department policies and ensure company sales processes are followed
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and collaborate closely with sister company group (SOPREMA)
  • Conduct market research related to customer’s needs
  • Present, teach and communicate new sales techniques and strategies to the team
  • Track and ensure sales targets are hit each quarter
  • Be accessible and responsive to the requests of customers
  • Participate in various departmental and interdepartmental meetings and training as required

 

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years residential sales management experience
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Salesforce will be considered a strong asset
  • Possess other computer skills including advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of the residential, building envelop, roofing, construction industry
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to travel, have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, valid passport
  • Strong data-oriented mindset with strong analytical, reporting and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, and to effectively use electronic software and systems (Salesforce, ERP, etc.) to quote, sell and order products for customers
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence
  • Adaptability to market changes and trends
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written
  • Bilingual in French (considered a nice to have)
